Giorgio Morandi (1890-1964), born in Bologna, Italy, was a famous Italian printmaker and oil painter. Known for his still life paintings, he became one of the most acclaimed painters of the 20th century. Morandi spent his life painting a few bottles and the scenery outside Bologna. His work flowed with a warm, intimate sincerity. It was this sense of tranquility that made Morandi's color palette almost versatile and burst into flames in recent years.
